The book describes 100 trad routes in the Dolomites. With the ever-increasing number of medium to high difficulty routes being opened by many different climbers, there is a constant need for guidebooks and descriptions of these routes, or at least the more popular itineraries which haven’t yet been climbed (or described) due to their high difficulty or their dangerous aura.
The objective of this guidebook is to collect the most interesting trad routes, or trad-sports routes present in the entire area of the Dolomites. As every climber knows, owning a detailed topo of a technically difficult route with hardly any protection, as well as being psychologically difficult, is extremely valuable to help achieve a successful ascent. For this reason, one of the added values of this book is to present reliable information and topos on extreme routes which have little or no previous information. Added value to this information is the fact that the authors have repeated almost all the routes described, therefore guaranteeing uniformity in the grading of the technical difficulties.
It should also be noted that this guidebook is presented as a personal selection of the best routes in the Dolomites, without undermining other great routes which have not been included in this collection.
