Whether you are a beginner or an expert hiker, this guide book is for you. Dominated by one of the most imposing massifs in the Dolomites, we offer a broad spectrum of itineraries which range from simple walks to more difficult mountaineering tours.

But if the Pale di San Martino lie at the heart of this book, we have not limited our guide only to this: we have collected in all of the mountain territory of the Primiero area some of the most interesting itineraries on foot, a territory which ranges from the porphyr land of the Lagorai and the Valle del Vanoi to San Martino di Castrozza, Passo Rolle, Passo Valles and Val Canali, until you reach corners which are not as popular but are just as striking, like the dolomite blocks of the Feltre summits and Gruppo del Cimonega.

The itineraries described here, both photographically and descriptively, try to highlight the historic – naturalistic attraction of the areas. The drafting of the itineraries has been subjected to constant attention in order to propose itineraries which could exalt the logic of their distance covered and uniqueness in describing these itineraries.

The aim of this publication is to stimulate the frequentation and exploration of this beautiful mountain environment which can be proud of a long tradition of mountaineering and tourism.
