Why create a fifth edition? Almost 300 new lines and bringing back to life dozens of old ones for the latest editions of the Melloblocco are the main reasons. A further confirmation that this beautiful alpine valley is an inexhaustible source of boulders, where the potential for developing new lines is far from over.

This new edition of Mello Boulder comes with new videos, of which there are almost 300 that include boulders of different difficulties and a wide variety of Valley sectors. Just use the QR codes and a simple app that can be downloaded for free on all smartphones. All you need is an internet connection and it is possible to view them anywhere.

The guide book is aimed at the varied bouldering community: including those that want to try the more famous and hard lines, but especially for all those that love to climb on boulders and enjoy the moves and magnificent context in which they will become immersed.

Andrea Pavan, born and raised in Como, has lived in Sondrio for more than ten years where he works as a Geologist. In 2003 he becomes a member of the Ragni di Lecco. After his first mountaineering experiences (alpinism, ski touring and ice climbing), from 1996 he starts to focus on climbing, firstly concentrating on multipitches around the Alps (especially in the Masino area) but also in Peru and Morocco. He has also sport climbed a lot and has relished bolting new routes. However, his great passion has always been climbing boulders. He has cleaned and freed numerous new lines, including hard ones, both in the Masino area and in other bouldering spots spread around the Sondrio province (Selvapiana, Dazio, Val di Togno, Val Gerola etc.), and also during trips to Morocco and Turkey in the company of his “Ragni” friends.
