Massimo Cappuccio, born in 1966, is a sports climbing instructor and an environmental excursions guide. He has been climbing for many years on Sicilian rock where he has climbed and bolted many routes. He has climbed the classic ascents in the Alps and taken part in climbing expeditions to Alaska, the Argentine Andes and Kilimanjaro. A great traveller, he has trekked in the most beautiful mountains in the world: in the Himalayas, the Andes, in Africa, Borneo on the volcanoes of Central America and on the lava expanses of Iceland. He has a thorough knowledge of Sicily where for years he has worked as a guide organising excursions in the parks and natural reserves. Giuseppe “Peppino” Gallo, born in Palermo in 1965, is one of the most complete alpinists in Sicily. He is a national Instructor of Alpinism of the Alpine Club of Italy (CAI) and his experience matured over the whole Alpine chain climbing routes of high prestige on rock and ice, taking part also in an extra-European expedition. He has a profound knowledge of Sicily and Etna on whose slopes he lives and works, and for a long time was involved in the development of climbing in this region, where he has repeated all the most classic ascents opening many new routes. |
